اسماعيل الغسّاني (٧٦١ - ٨٠٣ هـ) (١٣٦٠ - ١٤٠١ م) اسماعيل بن العباس بن علي بن داود بن يوسف بن عمر بن علي بن رسول الغساني، التركماني الاصل، اليمني. من ملوك اليمن. ولد في ذي الحجة، وتوفي بمدينة تعز في ربيع الأول، ودفن بمدرسته التي انشأها بها. من آثاره: العسجد المسبوك والجوهر المحبوك في اخبار الخلفاء والملوك، والعقود اللؤلؤية في اخبار الدولة الرسولية.
