    اسعد بن ابي روح (توفي قبل ٥٢٠ هـ) (١١٢٦ م) اسعد بن احمد بن ابي روح (ابو الفضل) رأس الشيعة بالشام. تولى القضاء، وسكن صيدا، وقتل بها. من تصانيفه: عيون الادلة في معرفة الله، التبصرة في معرفة المذهبين الشافعية، والامامية، البيان في خلافة الامامية، النعمان والمقتبس في الخلاف مع مالك بن أنس، والنور في عبادة الايام والشهور.
