    أحمد مِفْتَاح (١٢٧٤ - ١٣٢٩ هـ = ١٨٥٨ - ١٩١١ م) أحمد بن مفتاح بن هارون بن أبي النُّعاس العُماري: أديب مصري، له نظم جيد. نسبته إلى جدّ له اسمه عمّار (بضم العين وتخفيف الميم) ولد في نزلة عمرو (بالمنية) وتعلم بالأزهر ودار العلوم، واشتغل بالصحافة، ودرّس بدار العلوم وبقسم المعلمين الأدبي بالقاهرة. له (مفتاح الأفكار في النثر المختار - ط) و (رفع اللثام عن أسماء الضرغام - ط) رسالة. ويغلب على كتابته السجع (١) .
