احمد بن المنقار ( ... - ١٠٣٢ هـ) ( ... - ١٦٢٣ م) احمد بن محمد بن المنقار. اديب، شاعر، اصله من حلب، ولد، وتوفي بدمشق. رحل الى القسطنطينية، فاختلط بظرفائها، واستعمل المكيفات، فاصيب بعقله، فحمل الى دمشق مطوقا بالحديد، فأقام على حاله نحو ثلاثين سنة. من آثاره: رسالة في مباحث الاستعارة وتحقيق الحقيقة والمجاز.
