    احمد بن عابدين (١٢٣٩ - ١٣٠٧ هـ) (١٨٢٤ - ١٨٨٩ م) احمد بن عبد الغني بن عمر الشهير بعابدين الدمشقي، الحنفي. فقيه. ولد بدمشق، وتولى الافتاء في بعض المدن الصغيرة، ثم عين امينا للفتوى بدمشق، وتوفي بها في ٢٧ ربيع الثاني. له مؤلفات تربوعى عشرين مؤلفا، منها: كتاب في الطهارة والانجاس شرح العقيدة الاسلامية للحمزاوي، شرح قصة المولد لابن حجر الهيتمي، وكتاب في الفقه.
