أَبُو زهير الثقفي، والد أَبِي بكر بْن أَبي زهير، له صحبة. قيل: إنه أَبُو زهير بْن معاذ بْن رباح، وقيل: اسمه معاذ ابن رباح، وقيل: عمار بْن حميد، وقيل: إنه عمارة بْن رويبة الثقفي. روى حديثه أمية بْن صفوان (ق) ، عَن أَبِي بكر بْنِ أَبي زُهَيْرٍ، عَن أَبِيهِ، قال: خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِالنَّبَاوَةِ أَوْ بالبناوة. روى له ابن ماجه. وقد كتبْنا حديثه في ترجمه ابنه أَبِي بكر (٢) . • بخ ٤:
