أَبُو الخطاب الدمشقي، اسمه حماد.رَوَى عَن: رزيق أَبِي عَبد الله الألهاني (ق) ، عَنْ أنس بْن مالك فِي فضل صلاة الجماعة. رَوَى عَنه: مسلمة بْن عَلِيّ الخشني، وهشام بْن عمار (ق) . وفرق غير واحد بينه وبين أَبِي الخطاب معروف بْن عَبد اللَّه الخياط، وسماه أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ الطبراني فِي " المعجم الأوسط" عَن مُحَمَّد بْن نصر الهمذاني، عَن هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، قال: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الخطاب حماد الدمشقي، فذكره. وذكره أَبُو أَحْمَد بْن عدي فِي ترجمة معروف الخياط (١) ، ووهم فِي ذلك، فإنه غيره، والله أعلم. روى له ابن ماجه. ٧٣٤٤ - س:
