(٦٩٦) (خ-يزيد) بن معاوية النخعي الكوفي العابد. حكى ابن أبي خيثمة أنه معدود من العباد ثم روى عن عبد الرحمن بن يزيد النخعي قال خرجنا في جيش نحو فارس وفينا علقمة بن قيس ويزيد بن معاوية النخعي فقتل بها وذكره ابن حبان في الثقات وقال قتل غازيا بفارس وقال ذكر في الدعاء من صحيح البخاري وقال العجلي كان من أصحاب عبد الله بن بابة الربيع بن خثيم وروى البخاري في تاريخه قصة مقتله.
