(٢٥٩) (م ٤ - الوليد) بن هشام بن معاوية بن هشام بن عقبة بن أبي معيط (¬١) الأموي أبو يعيش المعيطي. روى عن عمر بن عبد العزيز وكان عامله على قنسرين وعن أبان بن الوليد بن عقبة بن أبي معبط وعبد الله بن محيريز ومعدان بن أبي طلحة وأم الدرداء وغيرهم. وعنه ابنه يعيش والأوزاعي والوليد ابن سليمان بن أبي السائب وأبو صالح الليثي ورجاء بن أبي سلمة وابن عيينة وآخرون. قال ابن معين والعجلى ثقة وقال يعقوب بن سفيان لا بأس بحديثه ثنا دحيم ثنا الوليد ثنا الأوزاعي حدثني الوليد بن هشام وهو ثقة عدل وذكره ابن حبان في الثقات. قال ابن عساكر بلغني أنه عاش إلى دولة مروان بن محمد*
