(٤٥٥) (خ د-معن) بن يزيد بن الأخنس بن حبيب بن حرة بن زغب بن مالكابن عفاف بن عتبة بن خفاف بن امرئ القيس بن بهثة بن سليم أبو يزيد السلمي وقد قيل غير ذلك في نسبه له ولأبيه ولجده صحبة. روى عن النبي ﵌. وعنه أبو الجويرية الجرمي وسهيل بن ذراع وعتبة بن رافع نزل الكوفة ثم صار إلى مصر وشهد مرج راهط مع الضحاك بن قيس سنة أربع وستين وقال ابن سميع قتل هو وأبوه في ذلك اليوم ويروى عن الليث بن سعد عن يزيد بن أبي حبيب أن معن بن يزيد هو وأبوه وجده شهدوا بدرا ولم يتابع على هذا. قلت. وذكر أبو عمرو الشيباني أنه كان مع معاوية بعد صفين*
