    (٤٠٨) (خ م د س-معبد) بن سيرين الأنصاري البصري مولى أنس كان أكبر الأخوة. روى عن عمر بن الخطاب وأبي سعيد الخذرى. وعنه أخواه أنس ومحمد ذكره ابن حبان في الثقات. قلت. وقال كان أقدم بني سيرين موتا وقال العجلي بصري تابعي وذكره ابن سعد في الطبقة الثانية من أهل البصرة (¬٢)وقال كان ثقة وقد روى أحاديث وذكر ابن أبي خيثمة أنه روى أيضا عن أنس وقال يحيى بن معين يعرف وينكر*
