(٣٦٠) (خ م س-معاذ) بن عبد الرحمن بن عثمان بن عبيد الله بن عثمان ابن عمرو بن عامر بن كعب بن سعد بن تيم بن مرة التيمي من آل طلحة المدني روى عن أبيه وحمران بن أبان مولى عثمان وقيل أنه سمع من عمر. قال أبو حاتم ولا يصح. وعنه أخوه عثمان ونافع بن جبير بن مطعم ومحمد بن إبراهيم بن الحارث والزهري وابن المنكدر وعبد الله بن أبي سلمة الماجشون. وذكره ابن حبان في الثقات. قلت. سبق أبا حاتم إلى ذلك البخاري وذكره ابن فتحون في الصحابة وعزاه الخليفة بن خياط وذكره ابن سعد في الطبقة الثانية من أهل المدينة*
