(٢٧٦) (د-مسلمة) بن عبد الملك بن مروان بن الحكم الأموي أبو سعيد وأبو الأصبغ. روى عن ابن عمه عمر بن عبد العزيز. وعنه أبو واقد صالح ابن محمد الليثي وعبد الملك بن أبي عثمان وعبيد الله بن قزعة ومعاوية بن حديج وعتبة بن أبي عمران الهلالي ويحيى بن يحيى الغساني. ذكره ابن سميع في الطبقة الرابعة من تابعي أهل الشام وقال الزبير بن بكار وكان من رجالهم وكان يلقب الجرادة الصفراء وله آثار كثيرة في الحروب ومكانة في الروم وقال غيره ولاه أخوه يزيد إمرة العراقين ثم أرمينية ورثاه الوليد بن عبد الملك لما مات. قال خليفة بن خياط مات سنة عشرين ومائة في المحرم وقال محمد بن عابد مات سنة إحدى وعشرين ومائة*
