ابن سِنان (٩٧٠ - ١٠٣٨ هـ = ١٥٦٢ - ١٦٢٨ م) عبد الكريم بن سنان: أديب بالعربية، تركي الأصل والمنشأ. تعلم بمصر، وولي قضاء حلب سنة ١٠٢٨ هـ فقضاء القاهرة سنة ١٠٣٠ شهورا. وأنشأ " تراجم " لبعض الوزراء والعلماء والأدباء، نحو ٢٠ ترجمة، اقتبس منها الخفاجي في الريحانة والمحبي في الخصلاصة (١) .

ابن سِنان (٠٠٠ - ٢٢٠ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ٨٣٥ م) محمد بن الحسن بن سنان الزاهريّ الخزاعي، أبو جعفر: فقيه إمامي، مطعون عند الإمامية في روايته. من أهل الكوفة، مات أبوه وهو طفل فرباه جده سنان، فنسب إليه. من كتبه (الطرائف) و (الصيد والذبائح) و (النوادر) (٢) .
