(٦٨٧) (د ق-قيس) بن الحارث بن جدار الأسدي ويقال الحارث بن قيس بن الأسود ويقال ابن عميرة جد قيس بن الربيع. يعد في الكوفيين. روى عنه حميضة بن الشمردل أنه قال أسلمت وعندي ثمان نسوة فذكرت ذلك للنبي ﵌ فقال اختر منهن أربعا. قلت. رجح البيهقي رواية من قال الحارث بن قيس وفي ترجمة قيس بن الربيع من طبقات ابن سعد قال هو من ولد الحارث بن قيس الذي أسلم وعنده ثمان نسوة وهذا هو الحديث الذي أخرجه أبو داود وابن ماجه*
