ابن المُغيرة (٠٠٠ - ١٣٥٥ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ١٩٣٧ م) عبد الله بن المغيرة، من حوطة بني تميم: مؤرخ رحالة، من أهل نجد. له كتب في " التاريخ " العام والخاص، ظلت كلها مخطوطة، وقد أهدى أكثرها إلى الملك عبد العزيز آل سعود، فهي محفوظة في الخزانة الملكية بالرياض. عاش نحو مئة عام، وتوفي بالطائف.
