    (٣٢٨) (ق-العلاء) بن سالم الطبري أبو الحسن الواسطي ثم البغدادي الحذاء روى عن أبي معاوية ويزيد بن هارون وشعيب بن حرب وإسحاق الأزرق وإسحاق بن سليمان الرازي وخلف بن تميم وأبي بدر شجاع بن الوليد وغيرهم. روى عنه ابن ماجه حديثا واحدا والحسين بن محمد المعروف بعبيد العجلوعبد الله بن عروة والحسن بن محمد بن شعبة ومحمد بن خلف ووكيع والقاسم المطرز ويحيى بن محمد بن صاعد ومحمد بن المسيب الأرغياني وأبو العباس السراج وإسماعيل بن العباس الوراق ومحمد بن مخلد العطار وآخرون. قال الآجري عن أبي داود تقدم موته ما كان به بأس وقال ابن مخلد مات في رجب سنة ثمان وخمسين ومائتين*
