    (٧٠٠) (س-عبد الغني) بن عبد العزيز بن سلام القرشي أبو محمد العسال (¬٣) المصري مولى القرشي. روى عن ابن عيينة وابن وهب وابن إدريس الشافعي ومؤمل بن عبد الرحمن الثقفي وعلي بن معبد الرقي. وعنه النسائي. قال المزي ولم أقف على روايته عنه وابنه محمد بن عبد الغني وإسحاق بن إبراهيم المنجنيقي وأبو الزنباع روح بن الفرج وموسى بن الحسن الكوفي وأبو الحريش أحمد بن عيسى الكلابي وغيرهم. قال النسائي لا بأس به وقال ابن يونس كان فقيها عاقلا وقال علي بن أحمد علان توفي سنة أربع وخمسين ومأتين.
