(٤٥٧) (م د س-عبد الرحمن) بن عثمان بن عبيد الله بن عثمان بن عمرو بن كعب ابن سعد بن تيم بن مرة التيمي. أسلم يوم الحديبية وقيل يوم الفتح وكان يقال له شارب الذهب. روى عن النبي ﵌ وعن عمه طلحة ابن عبيد الله وعثمان بن عفان. وعنه ابناه عثمان ومعاذ والسائب بن يزيد وابن المسيب ومحمد بن إبراهيم التيمي وأبو سلمة بن عبد الرحمن وغيرهم. قتل مع عبد الله بن الزبير (¬١) ودفن بالحزورة فلما زيد في المسجد دخل قبره في المسجد الحرام* (¬٢)
