(٧٣) (س-عبد الله) بن معية (¬١) السوائي العامري ويقال عبيد الله ويقال عبيد. قال ابن أبي حاتم عن أبيه أدرك الجاهلية وقال غيره ولد على عهد النبي ﵌. روى عن النبي ﵌. روى عنه إبراهيم بن ميسرة وأثنى عليه خبرا وسعيد بن السائب. قال صالح بن أحمد عن أبيه عبيد الله بن معية ليس بمشهور بالعلم. قال ابن أبي حاتم فذكرته لأبي فقال هو كما قال. قلت. وقع اسمه في سنن النسائي عبد الله مكبرا وكذلك ذكره المؤلف هاهنا وأما البخاري ويعقوب بن سفيان وغيرواحد ممن بعدهم فذكروه في عبيد الله مصغراً*
