    (٦١٧) (د ت س-شمير (¬١)) بن عبد المدان اليماني. روى عن أبيض بن حمال المازني. وعنه سمي بن قيس. ذكره ابن حبان في الثقات وقال الدارقطني قيل إنه شمير بن حمل. روى له أبو داود والترمذي حديثا واحدا قد تقدم في ترجمة سمي بن قيس. قلت. وروى له أيضا النسائي في السنن الكبرى وقد أشرت إلى ذلك أيضا في ترجمة سمي*
