أبو الوزير بن النعمان ابن المنذر الغساني حدث عن أبيه، عن مكحول بسنده قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: أمتي على خمس طبقات، وأنا ومن معي إلى أربعين سنة أهل نبوة وهدى، والطبقة الثانية إلى ثمانين سنة أهل بر وتقى، والطبقة الثالثة إلى عشرين ومئة سنة أهل تواصل وتراحم، والطبقة الرابعة إلى ستين ومئة أهل تقاطع وتدابر، والطبقة الخامسة إلى مئتي سنة أهل هرج، فالهرب أهل هرج فالهرب.
