أبو محمد القرشي الدمشقي من ولد الحارث بن عبد المطلب. حدث عن إبراهيم بن أبي عبلة وكانت له ناحية من عمر بن عبد العزيز قال: كان عطاء الخراساني يتكلم بعد الصلاة في بيت المقدس فتكلم رجل من المؤدبين، فقال رجل: من هذا؟ قال: أنا يا أبا المقدام. قال: اسكت. قال: ولم؟ قال: إنا نكره أن نسمع الخير من غير أهله.
