    يعمر بن مسعود أحد صحابة عمر بن عبد العزيز. عن يعمر بن مسعود قال: صليت مع عمر بن عبد العزيز، فقال لي: إن عندنا مالاً من مال سهم المؤلفةقلوبهم، وقد استخرت الله تعالى في ذلك، فرأيت أن أبعث به إلى من بمرعش، ورعبان، وزلول، ونحوها من الصقالبة، ومن أسلم حديثاً. فبعث معي، ومع رجل آخر من حرسه بوقر أو وقرين مالاً، وأمرنا أن نقسمه فيهم.
