هبة الله بن المسلم بن نصر ابن أحمد، أبو القاسم بن الخلال الرحبي حدث عن أبي المرجى سعد الله بن صاعد بن المرجى - وهو خال أبيه - بسنده إلى ابن عمر أنه كان يقول: سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: أتاني جبريل ﵇ فقال: إن الله يأمرك أن تأمر أصحابك أن يرفعوا أصواتهم بالتلبية والإهلال. وحدث عنه بسنده إلى أبي عمرو بن العلاء: أبني إن من الرجال بهيمة ... في صورة الرجل السميع المبصر فطن بكل مصيبة في ماله ... وإذا أصيب بدينه لم يشعر ولد سنة نيف وسبعين وأربع مئة. وتوفي سنة خمس وأربعين وخمس مئة.
