نصر بن شاكر بن عمار أبو رجاء، والد أحمد بن أبي رجاء حدث عن جرير بسنده إلى عبد الرحمن بن الأسود بن يزيد النخعي قال: إن تمام التحية المصافحة. وحدث عنه بسنده إلى عبد الله بن عيسى قال: كان يقول: من قرأ القرآن وصلى على النبي ﷺ ثم دعا فقد التمس الخير في مظانه. وحدث عن حفص بن غياث قال: لقي أبو إسحاق السبيعي الفضيل بن عياض، فقال: والله إني لأحبك، ولولا الحياء لقبلتك.
