نجيب بن عماد بن أحمد أبو السرايا بن أبي فراس الغنوي حدث سنة سبع وخمسين وأربع مئة عن أبي محمد بن أبي نصر بسنده إلى عائشة ﵂ قال: كان رسول الله ﷺ يقول: اللهم اجعلني من الذين إذا أحسنوا استبشروا، وإذا أساؤوا استغفروا. كان أبو السرايا هشاً خفيف الروح، له شعر جيد، فمنه ما قال يمدح به الدريدي ويذكر قتله صالح بن مرداس. " من الخفيف " أفسدت صالحاً وأصلحت الفا ... سد أسيافك العضاب المواضي وأنالتك في حروبك والسل ... م قصارى الآراب والأغراض توفي أبو السرايا سنة تسع وخمسين وأربع مئة.
