    ميمون بن علي بن يعقوب ابن علي بن أبي البختري وهب بن وهب القرشي الأسدي من أهل صيدا. حدث عن جده أبي البختري قال: قال لي هارون الرشيد: أين أنخت لولدك من بعدك؟ قلت: يا أمير المؤمنين بالشام، قال: وأي موضع بالشام؟ قلت: بساحل دمشق بحصن يقال له صيدا، قال: وكيف أنخته الشام وهو - ذكروا - مأواة الفتن وفيه العصبية؟ فقلت له: يا أمير المؤمنين إنه بلد أرضه طعام وسماؤه إدام، قال لي: فتحملنا أن نصير إليه؟ قال: قلت: فما نحملك يا أمير المؤمنين.
