موسى بن الحسين بن علي والد أبي الحسن بن السمسار حدث عن أبي بكر محمد بن رشيد البغدادي بسنده إلى خلف بن تميم الكوفي قال: كنا مع إبراهيم بن أدهم في مركب نغزو في البحر فعصفت علينا ريح شديدة فجاء أمير المركب إليه وهو نائم في كساه، فحركه فأنبهه، فقال له: ألا ترى إلى ما نحن فيه - يعني من الريح - فشال يده فقال: اللهم قد أريتنا قدرتك فأرنا عفوك. فصار البحر كأنه الزيت.
