مخلد بن خالد بن يحيى ابن محمد بن يحيى بن حمزة أبو علي الحضرمي البتلهي وقد صحف اسمه، إنما هو محمد بن خالد. روى عن أبي عبد الله أحمد بن محمد بن يحيى بن حمزة، عن أبيه، عن جده، قال: صلى بنا المهدي أمير المؤمنين المغرب، فجهر ببسم الله الرحمن الرحيم، فقلت: يا أمير المؤمنين، ما هذا؟ فقال: حدثني أبي عن أبيه، عن جده، عن ابن عباس، أن النبي ﷺ جهر ببسم الله الرحمن الرحيم.
