محمد بن محمد بن محمد الصوفي ابن عبد الرحمن أبو عبد الله بن أبي نصر الطالقاني الصوفي حدث بدمشق سنة تسعٍ وخمسين وأربع مئة عن أبي عبد الرحمن السلمي، بسنده إلى أبي الحسين النوري، قال: رأيت غلاماً جميلاً ببغداد فنظرت إليه، ثم أردت أن أردد النظر فقلت له: تلبسون النعال الصرارة وتمشون في الطرقات؟ قال: أحسنت أتجمش بالعلم؛ ثم أنشأ يقول: من الطويل تأمل بعين الحق إن كنت ناظراً ... إلى صفةٍ فيها بدائع فاطر ولا تعط حظ النفس منها لما بها ... وكن ناظراً بالحق قدرة قادر توفي أبو عبد الله سنة ستٍ وستين وأربع مئة، وقيل: سنة ثلاثٍ وستين.
