محمد بن عبد الله بن الحسين الحمصي ابن هارون بن يحيى أبو بكر الحمصي المقرئ الزاهد، يلقب أبوه بالجرمي نزيل دمشق. روى عن محمد بن عبد الله بن أحمد بن زبر، بسنده إلى أنس قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: " ما تحاب رجلان في الله، إلا كان أفضلهما أشدهما حباً لصاحبه ". روى عبد العزيز الكتاني بإسناده توفي أبو بكر محمد بن الجرمي بن الحسين المقرئ في صفر سنة ست وثلاثين وأربع مئة. وكان يذهب إلى مذهب أبي الحسن الأشعري، ﵀.
