    محمد بن سعيد بن عبدان بن سهلان ابن مهران - وسعيد يكنى أبا عثمان - أبو الفرج الفارسي ثم البغدادي نزيل طبرية، قدم دمشق. وحدث بها عن محمد بن يحيى بن الحسن البزاز، بسنده إلى أبي بكرة، أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: " أنا فرطكم على الحوض ". قال أبو بكر الخطيب: محمد بن سعيد بن عبدان بن سهلان بن مهران أبو الفرج البغدادي ترك الشام، وسكن طبرية، وحدث بدمشق وبمصر.. وذكر أبو الفتح بن مسرور البلخي أنه سمع منهفي سنة خمس وخمسين وثلاث مئة. قال: وسألته عن مولده، فقال: ولدت ببغداد، في ذي الحجة من سنة سبع وثمانين ومئتين. قال أبو الفتح: وكان ثقة.
