    قيس بن موسى أبو عبد الرحمن الأعمى من فقهاء أهل دمشق، وأهل الفتوى بها. قال أبو عبد الرحمن قيس الأعمى: دعاني الوليد بن مروان - وهو أمير على دمشق - فقال: يا أبا عبد الرحمن، ما يفرق - أو قال: ما الفرق - بين: " اختاري "، و" أمرك بيدك "؟ فقلت: إن الرجل إذا قال: أمرك بيدك فقد ملكها الأمر، وإذا قال: اختاري فهي في ملكه بعد. قال: لقد قلت قولاً!
