    عوّام ويقال عرّام ابن النذر بن زبيد ابن قيس بن حارثة بن لأم الطّائيّ، الشّاعر من المعمرين، بقي إلى أيّام عمر بن عبد العزيز. قال أبو حاتم سهل بن محمد بن عثمان السّجستانيّ: قالوا: وعاش عوّام أو عرّام بن المنذر بن زبيد بن قيس بن حارثة بن لأم، وأدخل على عمر بن عبد العزيز ليزمّن، أي يكتب في الزّمنى. قالوا: وكان عمّر في الجاهليّة دهراً طويلاً؛ فقال عمر: ما زمانتك هذه؟ فقال فيما زعم ابن الكلبيّ، قال: أخبرني رجل من بني قيس بن حارثة أنه قال لعمر بن عبد العزيز: من الطويل ووالله ما أدري أأدركت أمّة ... على عهد القرنين أم كنت أقدما متى تنزعا عنّي القميص تبيّنا ... جآجئ لم يكسين لحماً ولادما
