    علي الجرجرائي رجل من العباد. كان يكون بجبل لبنان. روي أن بشراً الحافي لقي علياً الجرجرائي بجبل لبنان على عين ماء. قال: فلما أبصرني قال: بذنبٍ مني لقيت اليومإنسياً، فعدوت خلفه، وقلت: أوصني، فالتفت إليّ وقال: أمستوصٍ أنت؟ عانق الفقر، وعاشر الصبر، وعاد الهوى، وعف الشهوات، واجعل بيتك أخلى من لحدك يوم تنقل إليه. على هذا طاب المسير إلى الله.
