    علي بن الحسن بن عمر أبو الحسن القرشي الزهري المعروف بالثمانيني سمع بدمشق وبغيرها. حدث عن أبي بكر محمد بن علي بن محمد النيسابوري بسنده إلى ابن عباس، قال: قال النبي ﷺ: " اليوم الرهان، وغداً السباق، والغاية الجنة، والهالك من دخل النار، وأنا الأول وأبو بكر المصلي وعمر الثالث، والناس بعدنا علّ، والأول فالأول ". توفي أبو الحسن الثمانيني القرشي بصور في سنة تسع وخمسين وأربع مئة. وكان رجلاً صالحاً.
