    عبيد بن عبد الواحد بن شريك أبو محمد البغدادي البزاز رحل وسمع بدمشق وبغيرها. حدث عن نعيم بن حماد بسنده إلى عبد الله بن جعفر قال: رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يأكل الرطب بالقثاء. وحدث عبيد بسنده إلى جابر بن عبد الله قال: أمر رسول الله ﷺ باتخاذ الديك الأبيض. وحدث عن هشام بن عمار بسنده إلى الأوزاعي قال: لابأس بإصلاح الخطأ واللحن والتحريف والحديث.توفي عبيد بن شريك سنة ثمان وثمانين ومئتين، وهو خطأ، والصواب أنه توفي سنة خمس وثمانين ومئتين.
