    عبيدة بن عثمان ويقال: عبيدة الثقفي الفقيه من أهل دمشق. حدث عن يحيى بن حمزة، عن برد بن سنان أن يزيد بن الوليد أرسل إلى نافع مولى ابن عمر فسأله، فقال: سمعت عبد الله بن عمر يحدث أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: من شرب في إناء من ذهب أو فضة فإنما يجرجر في بطنه ناراً. وعبيدة بفتح العين وكسر الباء. قال عبيدة: كان الرجل يكتفي من العبادة بالنظر إلى الأوزاعي إذا رآه مصلياً أو رآه قاعداً.
