عبد الله بن أحمد بن بشير ابن ذكوان أبو عمرو ويقال أبو محمد إمام المسجد الجامع بدمشق. حدث بدمشق عن عراك بن خالد بن يزيد بن صالح بن صبيح المري بسنده عن ابن عباس قال: لما عزي رسول الله ﷺ بابنته رقية امرأة عثمان بن عفان قال: الحمد لله، دفن البنات من المكرمات. توفي ابن ذكوان سنة اثنتين وأربعين ومئتين، ومولده سنة ثلاث وسبعين ومئة.
