شعيب بن دينار أبو بشر بن أبي حمزة الحضرمي مولى بني أمية. كان كاتباً لهشام بن عبد الملك بالرصافة، واجتاز بدمشق. حدث عن محمد بن المنكدر عن جابر بن عبد الله قال: كان آخر الأمرين من رسول الله ﷺ ترك الوضوء ما مست النار. توفي شعيب بن أبي حمزة سنة اثنتين وستين ومئة، وقيل سنة ثلاث وستين ومئة.
