سلطان بن يحيى بن علي ابن عبد العزيز بن علي بن الحسين بن محمد " ويكنى محمد بأبي الحسين " بن عبد الرحمن ابن الوليد أبو المكارم بن أبي الفضل بن أبي الحسن بن أبي محمد القرشي القاضي. سمع بدمشق وببغداد، وكان حسن الصوت يتعانى الوعظ حدث بسنده عن أبي هريرة عن النبي ﷺ قال: " إن الله ﷿ يقول: كل عمل ابن آدم له، الحسنة بعشرة أمثالها خلا الصوم، فالصوم لي وأنا أجزي به، وللصائم فرحتان فرحة عند إفطاره وفرحة إذا لقي الله، والصوم جنة من النار، ولخلوف فم الصائم أطيب عند الله من ريح المسك " توفي في دمشق سنة ثلاثين وخمس مئة.
