الخضر بن شبل بن الحسين ابن عبد الواحد أبو البركات بن أبي طاهر الحارثي، الفقيه الشافعي، المعروف بابن عبد كتب كثيراً من الحديث والفقه؛ ودرس الفقه في سنة ثمان عشرة وخمس مئة؛ وأفتى، وكان سديد الفتوى، واسع المحفوظ، ثبتاً في روايته، نزه النفس، ذا مروءة ظاهرة. ووقف عليه نور الدين مدرسته التي تلي باب الفرج؛ وولي الخطابة بجامع دمشق. حدث عن أبي طاهر محمد بن الحسين بسنده عن أنس بن مالك، قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: " الحياء والإيمان في قرن واحد، فإذا سلب أحدهما أتبعه الآخر ". ولد في شعبان سنة ست وثمانين وأربع مئة.
