الحسن بن علي بن الحسن بن سلمة أبو القاسم المزيّ المعروف بابن الطيري. ينسب إلى قرية الطيرة - بكسر الطاء وإسكان الياء باثنتين من تحتها - من قرى دمشق.حدث عن محمد بن أحمد بن فياض، بسنده عن أبي هريرة: أن امرأة مرت به يعصف ريحها طيباً فقال: يا أمة الجبار، المسجد تريدين! قالت: نعم. قال: فارجعي فاغتسلي، فإني سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: ما من امرأة تخرج إلى المسجد يعصف ريحها فيقبل الله ﷿ منها صلاة، حتى ترجع فتغتسل.
