الحسن بن أحمد بن صالح أبو محمد السبيعي الكوفي الحافظ قدم دمشق وذاكر بها. حدث عن عبد الله بن إسحق بن أبي مسلم الصفري، بسنده عن أبي موسى أن النبي ﷺ قال: " إن الله تعالى إذا أراد رحمة أمة من عباده قبض نبيها قبلها، فجعله لها فرطاً وسلفاً بين يديها، وإذا أراد هلاكها عذبها ونبيها حي، فأهلكها وهو ينظر، فأقر عينه بهلكتها حين كذبوه وعصوا أمره ". توفي أبو محمد السبيعي يوم الاثنين سابع عشر ذي الحجة، سنة إحدى وسبعين وثلاث مئة.
