    الحسن بن أحمد بن جعفر أبو القاسم البغدادي الصوفي سمع بدمشق وببغداد حدث عن أبي بكر عبد الله بن محمد بن زياد الخراساني قال: سمعت المزني يقول: سمعت الشافعي يقول: من تعلم القرآن عظمت قيمته، ومن نظر في الفقه نبل مقداره، ومن تعلم اللغة رقّ طبعه، ومن تعلم الحساب تجزل رأيه، وكتب الحديث قويت حجته، ومن لم يصن نفسه لم ينفعه علمه.
