جعثل بن هاعان بن عمرو بن البثوث أبو سعيد الرعيني القتاني المصري قاضي إفريقية. وفد على هشام بن عبد الملك، وتوفي في خلافته قريباً من سنة خمس عشرة ومئة. روى عن أبي تميم الجيشاني عن عقبة بن عامر، أن أخت عقبة نذرت في ابن لها أن تحج حافية بغير خمار، فبلغ ذلك النبي ﷺ فقال: " لتخرج راكبة مختمرة، ولتطعم ". وفي حديث بمعناه: ولتصم ثلاثة أيام. في رواية أخرى، فقال: مرها فلتركب، فإن الله عن تعذيب أختك لغني. كان قاضي الجند بإفريقية لهشام بن عبد الملك، وكان عمر بن عبد العزيز أخرجه من مصر إلى المغرب ليقرئهم القرآن، وكان أحد القراء الفقهاء.
