▸ expand full passage (649 chars)أحمد بن علي بن سعيد بن إبراهيم أبو بكر الأموي القاضي تولى القضاء بدمشق نيابة عن أبي زرعة. وكان يلي القضاء قبل ذلك بحمص وحدث بدمشق، وروى عنه جماعة. حدث عن يحيى بن أيوب بسنده عن أنس: أن رجلاً اطلع في بعض حجر النبي ﷺ فقام النبي ﷺ بمشقص أو مشاقص ثم مشى نحوه قال: فكأني أنظر إلى النبي ﷺ يتختل له ليطعنه. وحدث عن الهيثم بن خارجة بسنده عن أنس بن مالك أن النبي ﷺ قال: المسح على الخفين للمسافر ثلاث وللمقيم يوم وليلة. توفي سنة اثنتين وتسعين ومائتين في يوم الخميس لخمس عشرة ليلة خلت من ذي الحجة، وكان قد بلغ التسعين سنة أو دونها. وكان من أنفس الأمويين. وصلى عليه أبو حفص عمر بن الحسن القاضي بدمشق وكبر عليه خمساً، فسئل القاضي عن تكبيره خمساً فقال: لفضل العلم.
