أحمد بن عبد الله بن بندار أبو الحسن الشيرازي حدث ببعلبك في ذي القعدة سنة تسع عشرة وأربع مئة في المسجد المعروف بالقصر، قراءة عليه، وهو ينظر في أصله عن أبي القاسم محمود بن محمد بن عيسى الأصفهاني بشبام اليمن بسنده عن محمد بن علي الحنفي قال: قال المعلى مولى الصادق: سألت سيد جعفر بن محمد الصادق: فقلت: بأبي وأمي، إن العامة يزعمون أن الاختلاج غير صحيح قال: يا معلى هو صحيح. وذكر كتاب الاختلاج في مقدار ورقتين.
