أحمد بن صالح بن محمد بن صالح ابن المثنى بن ثعلبة بن عمر بن منصور بن حرب، أبو العلاء الأثط المؤدب التميمي الفارسي الجرجاني سكن صور، وحدث بدمشق. حدث بصور عن محمد بن حميد بسنده عن الركين بن الربيع عن أبيه قال: سمعت علياً يقول: استأذن عمار على النبي ﷺ وأنا عنده فقال مرحباً بالطيب المطيب. وحدث عنه أيضاً بسنده عن ابن عمر أن النبي ﷺ كان يتختم في يمينه.
